The Students' Financial Support Office (StuFSO) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) organized the 2nd UCC Scholars’ Forum on December 14, 2023, at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium. Established in December 2019, StuFSO provides financial assistance to needy but brilliant students through the UCC Scholarship and coordination of external scholarships. By November 2023, the office had completed disbursing scholarships to 392 students for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The forum, attended by 284 awardees, focused on discussing the privileges and responsibilities of scholarship recipients, briefing them on the StuFSO volunteer program, and presenting the office's vision for the 2024/2025 academic year. Key speakers, including Prof. Samuel Acquah and Prof. Gatsi John Gartchie, emphasized the importance of academic excellence, leadership, and volunteerism.

Despite some challenges, such as a delayed start and limited networking opportunities, the forum was deemed a success. Recommendations for future forums include better coordination, enhanced interaction opportunities, and earlier notifications to ensure full participation.
