A DELEGATION FROM THE STUDENTS’ FINANCIAL SUPPORT OFFICE VISITS GHANA RESINSURANCE PLC.

Ghana Reinsurance PLC is the biggest and first reinsurance company floated in Ghana. It has grown to become one of the largest in Africa and the sub-region, catering for more than three (300) hundred customers within the African sub-region. The company, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme donates annually to selected institutions within the healthcare and education sectors in the country. During its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the company donated an amount of GH₵ 50,000.00 to the Student Financial Support Office, University of Cape Coast.

The Office embarked on a visit to Ghana Re to express gratitude for their generous contribution to the cause of the Office. The visit was also a pivotal opportunity to strengthen the relationship between our organizations and to convey our gratitude for their invaluable support.

The delegation from the Office were welcomed by Mrs. Mary Ohene-Adu who happens to be the Head of Administrations, Ghana Re. Miss Grace Mensah, Head of the Student Financial Support Office expressed gratitude to the company for their kind gesture. She also hinted on how the support provided will go a long way to support quite a number of needy but brilliant students of the University of Cape Coast.

Dr. Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah, the Head of Domestic Operations and Mr. Joseph Adom the Managing Director (Finance and Administration) Ghana Reinsurance both expressed appreciation to the Office and added that a gesture like the one that the Office has shown them was not expected.

The souvenirs and citations that the Office took along were presented. Ms. Grace Mensah asserted that the Students’ Financial Support Office was open to future collaborations between the two parties.
