News Report: Successful Open Day at UCC Highlights Financial Support for Students

As part of the 56th Congregation of the University of Cape Coast, an Open Day event was held on Monday, 22nd January 2024, at the forecourt of the Sam Jonah Library. Various faculties and departments gathered to showcase their academic and research activities, engaging a wide audience of students, faculty, and visitors.

The Students' Financial Support Office (StuFSO) took full advantage of this event to promote its mission and the financial relief programs available to needy but brilliant students. Staff members of the Office were on hand to provide detailed information and personalized consultations, helping students understand how to access scholarships, bursaries, and other forms of aid.

The event also featured the executive secretary of Gold Fields Ghana and their staff, underscoring the strong partnership between the university and corporate sponsors in supporting student financial aid.

The Open Day was a resounding success, with significant student engagement and increased awareness of the financial support available at UCC. This initiative reinforced the university's commitment to ensuring educational access and equity for all students.
