Introduction On Saturday, February 1, 2025, seventeen awardees of the Student Financial Support Office (STUFSO) participated in a clean-up exercise at the Sam Jonah Library as part of their commitment to community service and environmental sustainability. The initiative aimed to enhance the cleanliness of the library environment, thereby fostering a conducive atmosphere for learning and research. Library staff played a crucial role in coordinating the exercise, ensuring its smooth execution.

Activities Undertaken The clean-up exercise commenced at 8:00 AM with awardees assembling at the library entrance. Participants were provided with essential cleaning materials, including brooms, dustpans, gloves, detergents, and trash bags. The activities undertaken included:

• Sweeping the library’s surroundings and walkways.

• Collecting and disposing of litter.

• Cleaning library windows and study areas.

• Arranging reading materials and furniture to enhance orderliness.
