    STUFSO ORGANIZES 3RD SCHOLARS’ FORUM FOR 2025 UCC SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES
    The University of Cape Coast (UCC) awarded scholarships to 283 brilliant but needy students for the 2024/2025 academic year through the Students’ Financial Support Office (StuFSO). A scholars’ forum was held on November 15, 2024, at the Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman Auditorium to orient recipients on their responsibilities and privileges. Prof. John Gartchie Gatsi, Chairman of the event, urged recipients to excel academically and morally, encouraging them to support future scholarship initiatives. Ms. Grace Mensah, Head of StuFSO, emphasized maintaining academic excellence and avoiding distractions. The scholarship includes capacity-building training, mentorship, and internships. Beneficiaries shared testimonials on its positive impact. The School of Business, through its Development Fund, provided additional sponsorship to 109 students this year, with GH₵620,000.00 spent since 2021. Senior university officials and committee members attended the event, offering congratulatory messages and support.

    On June 27, 2024, the University of Cape Coast's Students’ Financial Support Office (STUFSO) hosted representatives from Pecan Energies and ESL Consulting to strengthen their partnership following a recent MoU. Led by Mr. Emmanuel Annor Appiah, discussions focused on enhancing support for UCC scholars through financial aid, mentorship, internships, and collaborative research. Ms. Grace Mensah, Head of STUFSO, highlighted the partnership's impact, while Ms. Akuorkor Osuteye outlined Pecan Energies’ initiatives. Scholars expressed gratitude for the support received. The visit strengthened relationships, created internship opportunities, and set plans for future collaboration, with both parties committing to ongoing engagement.

    During the 56th Congregation's Open Day, TV UCC interviewed representatives from the Students' Financial Support Office (StuFSO) and the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation. The discussion covered StuFSO's services, including eligibility criteria and the application process for financial aid. Mr. Abdel-Razak Yakubu, Executive Secretary of the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, shared the foundation's objectives and new initiatives to support students. The event showcased the strong partnership between StuFSO and the foundation in enhancing educational opportunities for University of Cape Coast students.

    The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation Scholars Association held its annual meeting on 13th January 2024, with the Students’ Financial Support Office (StuFSO) in attendance. The meeting aimed to remind scholars of their responsibilities and inform them of upcoming activities, including the social service project and the annual verification exercise.

    On February 6th, 2024, the management of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast invited the Students’ Financial Support Office (StuFSO) to educate its students about the financial assistance services available. Madam Esther Dede Azzu and Mr. Emmanuel Eshun represented the Office during the session.
