    AWARDEES' SYMPOSIUM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR
    On the 22nd August, 2022 the Students’ Financial Support Office in collaboration with the Design Thinking and Innovative Hub (D-HUB) organized an Awardees’ Symposium for its beneficiaries. The purpose of the symposium was to provide students with the requisite soft skills for life. The programme also made a call on them to be innovative and venture into entrepreneurship and create more employment opportunities after school. Topics treated were developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset, Spotting Opportunities in the University Ecosystem, Goal Setting and Milestones in Life, Time and Financial Management. These topics were facilitated by experts from the University.
  • The Vice-Chancellor has nominated the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Mrs.) Rosemond Boahene as the chairperson of the Students’ Financial Support Committee to oversee the activities of the Students’ Financial Support Office and commended Prof Dora F. Edu-Buandoh the former Pro Vice-Chancellor and immediate past chairperson of the committee for her selfless contributions.

    7 students benefit from Stanchart Scholarship
    Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited has awarded scholarships to seven(7) needy brilliant students at the University of Cape Coast(UCC). The students - five undergraduates and two postgraduates - will benefit from two endowment funds: the Standard Chartered Science Education Trust Fund and Standard Chartered Kenneth Dadzie Memorial Education Trust Fund.

    REPORT ON THE GNPC VERIFICATION AND RENEWAL EXERCISE (25TH APRIL - 6TH MAY 2022)
    The Students’ Financial Support Office is an office that was established and inaugurated under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor on 19th December 2019 to provide financial assistance to needy but brilliant /promising regular and distance students at the University of Cape Coast and also coordinate all other scholarship from external and internal sources. Since the Office is in charge of coordinating all financial assistance for Students, the Office from 26th April 2022 to 6th May 2022 liaised with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation to help with the Scholar’s verification and renewal of scholarships.

    UCC Awards Scholarships to Needy-But Brilliant Students

    The University of Cape Coast, in collaboration with the Students Financial Support Office, has held the Maiden UCC Scholarship Awards ceremony for needy-but brilliant students in the University.

    The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, in his opening remarks as the Chairperson, said the Students' Financial Support Office was set up in 2019 with the University Council's approval after it had been observed that some students faced diverse difficulties in raising funds to pay their fees.
