Student's Financial Support

At the 6^th session of the 56^th Congregation, the Students’ Financial Support Office under the Office of the Vice Chancellor took the opportunity to honor the overall best graduating awardee. This award was presented to Ms. Abigail Cudjoe, a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) student. Ms.

Ghana Reinsurance PLC is the biggest and first reinsurance company floated in Ghana. It has grown to become one of the largest in Africa and the sub-region, catering for more than three (300) hundred customers within the African sub-region.

Staff from the Students` Financial Support Office were present at this year`s annual orientation organized for freshmen organized by the Office Of the Dean Of Students at the locations below.

The Newmont Akyem Development Foundation (NAkDeF) is a charitable organization
established to plan and implement sustainable community development projects in communities
surrounding the Newmont Akyem Mines. Their host communities includes; Adausena, Yaw
Tano, Old Abirem, New Abirem, Hweakwae, Tano, Afosu, Mamanso, Ntronang and Yayaaso. In
furtherance to their mandate, NAkDeF has established a scholarship scheme to fund the
education of students from its environs.

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation scholarship provides full financial support to brilliant but financially needy undergraduate and postgraduate Ghanaian students offering academic programmes in STEM (Agricultural Sciences, Special Education, Environment).

Pecan Energies Ghana Limited (PEGL), an oil company started the scholarship program in 2022 for tertiary students. They also gave opportunities to Senior High School students from 2012 till the initiation and commencement of the Free Senior High School Education.
